She may be a stunningly beautiful actress, but Jennifer Lawrence is not the best kisser. It’s not her technique, per se, but rather her intense breath. The Oscar winner’s Hunger Games costar Liam Hemsworth opened up about the gross experience on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Friday, Nov. 14, during a fan Q&A.
When one tweeter asked Miley Cyrus’ ex-fiance, 24, what the most awkward scene for him to shoot was, the Aussie replied, “Anytime I had to kiss Jennifer was pretty uncomfortable.”
“When you look at it on the outside, it looks like a great picture,” Hemsworth explained. “She’s one of my best friends, I love her, but if we had a kissing scene, she would make a point of eating garlic or tuna fish or something that was disgusting. Right before the scene she’d be like, ‘Yeah, I ate tuna’ or ‘I had garlic, and I didn’t brush my teeth.’ And I’d be like, ‘Fantastic, I can’t wait to get in there and taste it!'”
Lawrence, 24, and Hemsworth play best friends-turned-potential lovers Katniss and Gale in the Hunger Games series. The franchise’s third installment, Mockingjay — Part 1, hits theaters on Nov. 21.
And while they share some emotional scenes in the film, Hemsworth revealed another movie that always makes him cry — the 1997 classic Titanic.
“Well you know, every time I watch it, when [Leonardo] DiCaprio dies, I know it’s coming, but…yeah man, just seeing that beautiful guy die, it’s so heartbreaking,” he admitted, laughing.
